The challenge / Overview

Three peaks.
One defining day.

A rugged high-level journey across three summits in England’s most dramatic mountain landscape. It is a serious goal, built for people who want to achieve something difficult, memorable and shared.

The peaks / 01—03

Meet the

The route

Know the
challenge.

Challenge Central is reconciling two delivered variants before publishing the permanent Series route. Scafell Pike and Broad Crag are common to the source material; the approved third summit and final statistics remain under review.

Why details are held back The named peaks, distance and ascent will appear only after the Challenge Central route and operating plan are approved.

Is it for me?

Challenging.
Achievable.

This is a demanding mountain day, not a technical climbing event. You should expect sustained walking, changing weather and uneven ground. A focused training plan and the right kit will help you arrive ready.

Final participant requirements and approved training guidance will be added when supplied by Challenge Central.

Questions / Answers

Before you
take it on.

Why is the third summit not shown yet?+

Historic Challenge Central events used different approved variants involving Great End or Lingmell. The permanent Series route will be published once that choice is confirmed.

Is Scafell Pike a serious mountain?+

Yes. It is England’s highest mountain, and its summit area can be difficult to navigate in cloud, rain and wind. Preparation, suitable kit and the event team’s guidance matter.

Do I need mountaineering experience?+

The Series is designed as a walking challenge rather than a technical climbing event. You do need appropriate fitness, mountain-ready kit and respect for changeable conditions. Final requirements are confirmed for each event.

Can our company complete the Series over several years?+

Yes. A team can build its collection across a one-to-three-year programme, and the same employees do not have to attend every challenge.

Do the challenges have to be completed in number order?+

No. The numbers identify the five collection pieces; they do not set the order. Start with the challenge that works for your team.
